LISA GILMORE DESIGN TEAM INTERIOR DESIGNER ST PETERSBURG FL

MEET THE TEAM

We’ve assembled quite the dream team. Together we can create designs in perfect harmony with your taste and lifestyle.

LISA GILMORE
Principal Designer, CEO

Lisa Gilmore is both the founder and the heartbeat behind Lisa Gilmore Design. She is a well respected leading interior designer in St Petersburg Fl.

Since the beginning, Lisa coined her style “liveable glamour.” But glamour isn’t always velvet and chandeliers.

  • Glamour is different for each person. While one person might love all the sparkle, another person’s version of glamour may be denim and cotton. Liveable glamour is beautiful, functional, and available to everyone, even those with kids or pets. A home styled with the liveable glamour approach is one that ignites stories, a place where its owners can be content and feel their best.

As the visionary of Lisa Gilmore Design, Lisa is spreading that mission: to fill more homes with liveable glamour.

Above all, Lisa is an artist; she finds inspiration everywhere, whether she’s biking around town, traveling to cool, new spots, or browsing fashion boutiques.

And, through her own business journey, Lisa has become passionate about helping other creative business owners realize that it is normal to make mistakes and learn along the way. Her story, featured on many podcasts including SUCCESS Stories, has helped numerous other entrepreneurs build better businesses.

Lisa has a degree in interior design, and prior to founding LG, worked at premier design firms in central Florida and Chicago. She has been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest, Florida Design, and Aspire Magazine. Lisa is a bicoastal resident of both Florida and Vancouver, BC.

NICOLE MALDONADO INTERIOR DESIGNER TAMPA

NICOLE MALDONADO
Senior Designer

As Senior Designer, Nicole has been one of the artistic minds behind Lisa Gilmore Design since 2015. Nicole is able to see the potential in a space and envision what it could be from the first studs to the last drapery ring.

  • She is a true creative, dazzling clients with her artistic ideas for new construction and remodel projects.

Nicole loves that every day is different, and she has opportunities to problem-solve and think on her feet. Nicole describes her style as cozy eclectic, and her design inspirations include Summer Thornton, House of Nomad, and Emily Henderson.

She received her BFA in interior design in 2007 and has prior experience working in a handmade art tile showroom.

Nicole has two daughters, Penelope and Olivia, and one dog, Frida.

MYAH FARAONE
Director of Operations

Myah joined Lisa Gilmore Design in 2021 to lead the company’s operations and bridge the gap between design and construction.

  • With a background in construction and as Lisa’s longtime friend, Myah came on board with LG to streamline the company’s processes and procedures. She is an expert at identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies and how they relate to a company’s financial health. Her ultimate goal is to help guide team members and improve their work lives.

Myah has 18 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in commercial and high-end residential design and building. She started her career as a planroom coordinator at the Builders Exchange of Rochester in 2004 and also holds a NARI certification in Remodeling Project Management (CRPM).

Originally from Rochester, NY, Myah has two kids and enjoys many outdoor activities, including 4-wheeling, fishing, hosting bonfires, visiting cafes, hearing local music, and dabbling in art.

KRISTIN MARSHBURN
Director of Procurement

In 2014, Kristin started working at Lisa Gilmore Design just a couple of days a week, helping with invoicing. In the years since, not only has LG grown, but so has Kristin’s role.

  • Today, as Director of Procurement, Kristin manages many of LG’s moving pieces. From a financial perspective, Kristin handles client proposals, product pricing and purchasing, financial reporting, and client invoices. The other part of her job is logistical—tracking products and liaising with vendors and the warehouse about every item from the nail heads on a chair to beads on a chandelier.

With experience in finance and sales and an educational background in art history, working with an interior design firm was the perfect way to marry Kristin’s two passions.

Originally from New York but a Floridian at heart, Kristin is an avid runner and is married with one son.

DERRICK JOHNSTONE
Project & Logistics Coordinator

As the only male on a team full of women, Derrick Johnstone certainly stands out. And as the Project and Logistics Coordinator, none of our projects would run as smoothly without him.

  • Derrick joined the Lisa Gilmore Design team in 2021 after moving to Florida from Vancouver. His decades of sales and hospitality experience make him the ideal liaison between our team and the tradespeople who work on our client projects.

Tracking the 100+ pieces that go into a space, coordinating deliveries, and being on-site to advise tradespeople installing the items means he is often on the go.

And while Derrick works behind the scenes of a project, his wife carries much of the creative load and client interactions. That’s right, Derrick is Lisa’s husband. They met when Lisa was visiting a cousin in Vancouver and were married in March 2022.

In his free time, Derrick enjoys biking around St. Pete, trying new restaurants and breweries, cooking and baking, and attending local sporting events. Go Rays!

CHEYENNE BOOTH
Office Concierge

Just as a hotel concierge is the mainstay of a traveler’s experience, Cheyenne is the first point of contact for a Lisa Gilmore Design client.

  • The title “concierge” is truly fitting as she is responsible for a variety of tasks that support the entire LGD team from assisting with presentations to resourcing items to acquiring samples.

Cheyenne has been with Lisa Gilmore Design since April 2022. She has experience in photography, interior design, and 3D modeling that are an asset in her role. Preparing the spec books, which are needed for every construction project, is Cheyenne’s favorite part of her job.

One of the reasons Cheyenne joined LGD was to work for a female-owned small business, and she enjoys having an empowering job and working with a team of such supportive women.

Cheyenne adores her two very spoiled rescue dogs, Midna and Yuna, and spends her free time baking, photographing styled shoots, doing yoga, trying new restaurants, traveling, and hiking.
