There is just something about a colorful environment that makes my heart so happy. Combine that with pattern and other fun elements and I am one happy designer!

Sometimes I let my imagination run wild and just create spaces to feed my design cravings.

A colorfully chic entryway

I personally love the idea vibe of this space. Black and white stripes, paired with leopard print and floral, pops of bold color, including the ceiling. Regal furniture pieces mixed with more modern elements make this room exciting and not too traditional or too modern.

So what do you think? Would you ever dare to live this colorfully? Share your thoughts!

There was a time when one of the major rules in design was to pick either gold or silver. No mixing and matching. Pick one metal and stick with it. Luckily, though, times change, rules are broken and the results are absolutely stunning as these metallic hues are used together.

We love the way The Glamourai incorporated gold and silver in her home’s living room accents…

And the way the light and dark shades of gold pop in this grey living room area with silver furniture details…

The metallic upholstering in this love seat and ottoman that contrast with their side tables and give the spaces a serious glam factor…

Just like a gold faucet in a kitchen with silver cabinet hardware.

And of course, it’s no surprise Kelly Wearstler’s home has a statement making covetable mixed metal piece. When it comes to livable glamour, it doesn’t get much better than this closet.

The holidays are approaching quickly (Thanksgiving is this week, ahh! When did that happen?!), we are all thinking about gathering with family and friends, holiday cheer and delish meals. So that has us thinking about dining rooms -- dining rooms of so many styles!

The word "love" just doesn't justify how we really feel about these chairs. First, the shapes are so unique. Second, cover it in velvet? Then, finally top it off with this chandelier? Done.

Pops of color are so much fun in dining rooms. We love the tension it creates with the patterned walls and bold modern art.

Can we get a show of hands for all who swoon over patterns that have a stone-like appearance like we do? Such an elegant look for these dining walls...

Okay, of course we had to throw in some gold dining rooms. So they get a little gallery of their own. These golden beauties make us want to sit and dine for hours.

Maybe you prefer a less glitzy look for your space?  We love these spaces for a more elegant look...

City life dining never looked so good, chic, elegant and the perfect dose of color...

Lastly, this space filled with art, rich hues and different textures creates such a cozy dining room. Long talks with good company are sure to happen here...

So whatever your dining style, we hope that you enjoy it with those you love. Filled with laughter, good food, drink and love.

INSPIRATION: Attention >> Gold In In.

On Tuesday, Lisa got back from High Point Furniture Market. Always a fabulous trip filled with lots of industry fun and inspiration! Over the next few weeks we will be pumping you with all of Lisa's great interior design finds.

First and foremost:: GOLD IS IN. Big time. We're talking all shades of gold, brass, copper, rose gold. The works. It's all in and we love every single inch of it.

Here is a look of some items that Lisa spotted:

Gold, black, white and sheepskin. Yum!

Natural wood mixed with the brass really warms the metal up on this chest!

A gold four poster bed, yes, please.

And just in case the gold leafed bookcase didn't do it for you, they added red velvet lined shelves. YES. Velvet. I died.

So excited to see this buffet in person, we are doing a larger version in a clients glam lake house. Gold mixed with antique mirror, it was SO pretty!

Incredibly chic flowers made from brass and hand painted. Such a beautiful display!

In addition to all these gold sightings, Lisa got to meet her personal favorite interior designer: Kelly Wearstler, Kelly was there for a book signing and also to introduce her new line of lighting -- of course featuring a lot of gold! (pics below)

Lisa & Kelly Wearstler (so exciting!)

Here are some of Kelly's new pieces:

So. How do you feel about gold?
