TASSELS, TASSELS, EVERYWHERE!

THE BEST WAYS TO INCORPORATE TASSELS IN YOUR INTERIOR AND FASHION!

Tis the season for parties, presents, and TASSELS!  As the resident prepster, tassels have been in my life since birth but in design, they did take a backseat for a bit when the minimalistic style was on the rage.  Don’t get me wrong, there is such thing as too much tassel but hopefully with my help you will be able to incorporate tassels into your decor, wardrobe, and life.

When adding tassels into your home, an understated tassel used as a trim to a pillow is the way to go.  One of our favorite trim companies, Samuel & Son’s makes a leather tassel from their Toscana Collection that is TO DIE FOR.  I would put it simply on a single corner of a pillow.

I found Maynest on Etsy.com that makes these gorgeous leather pillows with tassel accents.

A perfectly placed tassel can be cherry on top of a beautiful piece like the Ro Sham Beaux Malibu 30 chandelier.

Tassels do not have to be design accents, they can be the goal.  This Kelly Wearstler Strada Small Chandelier for Circa Lighting.  Looks like a gold tassel.  I would used multiples of these lights over a large kitchen island.

Let’s move onto an important place that tassels need to be… YOUR CLOSET!  I found this simple faux suede & metal tassel necklace from J.Crew Factory on Black Friday and it is perfect for almost any outfit.

And let’s not forget where I wear my tassels most, on my shoes!!  The classic loafer is coming in every color and finish this season.  And throw a tassel on top and this girl is going to rock it!

One last place to always put a tassel on it, is your holiday gift wrapping!  Yarn tassels are an easy, inexpensive way to top your gifts. Check out this fabulous blog for DIY tassels to jazz up your gift wrapping!

At LG Design, we really do love a good tassel... and every once in a while our fashion will be so in sync we end up matching...

Give tassels a shot, you will thank me later!

You like jewelry, right? Yeah, I thought so. We do too. Currently we are having a serious crush on big chunky stones adorning our jewelry. If that sounds like you as well, then you definitely don't want to miss this event.

As you know, JDRF is something very important to me, I am so excited that we get to continue to raise awareness and funds for this amazing research foundation. I would like to personally thank everyone who has donated to this cause, your contribution is greatly appreciated by Type One Diabetics, their family and friends.

If you can't make it to the event listed below, you can call in your order to contribute.

Just to give you a little preview of what Kendra Scott has to offer, here are some images of their pieces... I grabbed these images from their website, there are so many to look at!

I'm really wanting to add that triple ring to my collection, I love it! Anything you are seeing that is a must have?

We hope to see you all there, it will be a fabulous time!

LIVING COLORFULLY

There is just something about a colorful environment that makes my heart so happy. Combine that with pattern and other fun elements and I am one happy designer!

Sometimes I let my imagination run wild and just create spaces to feed my design cravings.

A colorfully chic entryway

I personally love the idea vibe of this space. Black and white stripes, paired with leopard print and floral, pops of bold color, including the ceiling. Regal furniture pieces mixed with more modern elements make this room exciting and not too traditional or too modern.

So what do you think? Would you ever dare to live this colorfully? Share your thoughts!

HOW THIS SKIRT INSPIRED A DINING ROOM

A while back I was browsing through one of my favorite local boutiques (Misred Outfitters); looking through all the different clothes "oh that's cute"; "this is nice"... you know, the standard thoughts while aimlessly shopping.

Then, I stumbled across this long skirt. I instantly fell in love (like deep love) with the pattern.

My mind immediately started on this design inspiration whirl-wind. Before I knew it I had put together this make believe dining room, well for nobody in particular.

Every time I put on this skirt, the dining room pops into my mind. So I decided it was time to share my inspiration with you!

A mixture of purples, magentas and oranges make for a lively and underused palette. Paired with blacks and champagne gold tons take it up to that glam notch, that I always personally crave.

Are you ever inspired by a random find with your interior? Inspiration comes from all sorts of areas, we say act on it!
